Great Small Wall Calendar
This is the greatest small wall calendar of kittens. It is small enough for an office wall and is large enough to write in appointments, schedules, etc. It is a definate purchase each and evey year!

Kittens Everywhere
I look for this calendar every year and can't wait until it arrives. It is a great small wall calendar with a kitten for everyday. I am always concerned because I can't always locate this calendar. Please offer it sooner in the year since I know I am not alone in wanting this calendar.

The photos are really great - they give a lot of direction in how to prepare fish. They could have been the hands of a surgeon.

Changing Light: The Eternal Cycle of Night and Day
Published in Hardcover by HarperCollins (December, 1991)
Author: J. Ruth Gendler
Average review score:

Transformative Poetry and Prayers -- Very Accessible
Ruth Gendler has collected together some of the most accessible and beautiful poems ever written. Her collection is eclectic, international, and both spiritual and "light." This is the one collection of poetry that I give as a gift to people who read poetry only rarely. They always find their eyes opened by the freshness of Gendler's selections. The book follows the progression of a day from daybreak to night, which gives the book both cohesion and progression. Her art is sprinkled throughout the book, and it enhances the mood, without becoming intrusive. Really an excellent choice for yourself or as a gift.

A celebration of the rhythms of the day.
Gendler has given us a great gift by gathering together a magical collection of poetry, prose, haiku, and prayers coupled with evocative abstract images of dawn, day, evening, and night. One marvels at the universality of themes repeated by so many voices through the centuries. This is a book that needs to be shared with special friends who will appreciate its beauty and reverance for life.

Children Believe Everything You Say: Creating Self-Esteem With Children

Authors: Jennifer Day and Tammy Day-Ferraz
Average review score:

This Little Book is PACKED with Great Ideas!
Yes, it's true (although sometimes hard for parents to face) -- CHILDREN BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU SAY. You can help compensate for some of the things you've said and later wished you hadn't by making good use of the fun and truly usable exercises in this book! Children love stories, and this book is packed with interesting folk tales that illustrate the positive and help children understand the incredible depth and breadth of human emotions.

I was amazed at how engaging and fun all of the exercises in this book are, even for older children. This priceless addition to your book shelf can even provide you with tools for improving your own self-esteem. After all, it's never too late for a happy childhood. Get started today with this awesome book!

Never to young or old to start
A delightful book that is well written. I have read some of the storys in it to my four year old and he has enjoyed them. I've also tried some of the simpler games, like "If I was a colour, I'd be..." with him. I feel that this book has given me what I was looking for to develop my relationship with my child (there's also further recommended reading). It has been written so that it can be dipped into and a story read from or activity carried out to suit the circumstances or age of the child (use your own discretion). A final word, this book (the activities, visualisations and stories) can also be done by parents too!

The Christian Origin of the Twelve Days of Christmas: A Children's Activity Book

EXCELLENT!
This is such a great book that I've ordered extra copies for my family and friends! I've listened to the song "My True Love" at Christmas time for years and thought it represented more how materialistic the holiday has become rather than the rich history it speaks of. The book has activities and a message for all ages! Don't pass this up!

The True Meaning of Christmas!
I have enjoyed this book so much that I've ordered extra copies to share with family and friends! The song 'My True Love', that we've heard for years, has such a deep meaning and such a beautiful story, it gives a person a renewed perspective each time you hear the song. This is a wonderful book for young children as well as older kids. The games and poster are great for all ages. Highly recommended!!

Delicious recipes that have become a staple of our holiday
I got this cookbook just before I got married, when I hosted my first Thanksgiving. I've used it for several years now, and many of the recipes in it - including the gingered sweet pototato pudding, the glazed parsnips and carrots, and the pumpkin cheesecake - have become staples of my family's celebration. I haven't tried a single recipe in this book that wasn't utterly delicious. It offers creative twists on traditional holiday fare, so it satisfies both the gourmets and the traditional holiday eaters. It also includes several recipes for "extras" (such as a yummy and very easy recipe for minted cranberry sauce). While some of the recipes take a little extra effort over your traditional mashed potatoes and stuffing, they are very well worth it. Even my husband, whose palette is hardly experimental, loves *everything* I've made from this book. I've now given it as a gift to several of my friends, all of whom have found new recipes to treasure in it!

This cookbook is a must for get-togethers
This is hands-down the best cookbook for the holidays, or anyday really. Everyone loves the cranberry relish and yams.

Cloud by Day: The Story of Coal and Coke and People
Published in Hardcover by Univ of Pittsburgh Pr (Txt) (December, 1991)
Author: Muriel Earley Sheppard
Average review score:

History of Southwestern Pennsylvania Remembered
I bought this book for my grandfather in January of 2000. He immigrated to America with my grandmother and father from Lago, Calabria, Italy and worked as a miner and mine rescue worker in Pennsylvania during the days of H.C. Frick.

He turned 91 in December of 1999, but he vividly remembered his days in those mines until his death in April of 2000, when black lung finally weakened his heart, causing him to pass. Reading this book was one of the final acts of his long, admirable and often difficult life, and he assured me that this book portrays conditions inside the mines and in the company towns very accurately. The book tells the tales of the coal barons, but it is much more. It recalls the coal mining region's contribution to the building of the United States and is a testament to the immigrant spirit of those who made it possible.

Open-minded accounting of early mining and coke making
This is an historically correct accounting of the beehive coke industry of Fayette and Westmoreland Counties of Pennsylvania (Connellsville Coke Region), which dominated the region from the end of the Civil War until the end of World War Two and was largely responsible for the growth of the Pittsburgh steel industry. Ms. Sheppard tells the story of the Coal Barons and their miners, mostly European immigrants, without taking sides in an issue which continues to this day. Financial manipulations and the growth of the unions are described in great detail. Her account of the rise and fall of Uniontown, Pa. coal baron J.V. Thompson is particularly intriguing, as is the story of Henry Clay Frick, one of America's premier industrialists. A must-read for any student of Pennsylvania mining or industrial history.

BUY THIS BOOK!
As a 26 year old guy just coming to terms with my sexual orientation, this book provided the guidance I needed to accept who I was as a gay man and the support I needed to come out to my best friend. Dr. Johnson has put together a great book from start to finish. Not just a book of advice, this book makes you look at your life and do a personal inventory. I've also read "Outing Yourself" but found this book to be better. If you are questioning your sexual orientation, or just need a great guide book to coming out gay or bisexual, this book is for you! Thank you, Dr. Johnson, for writing this book!

helped me a lot!!!
really good self help book
